FC Anyang's Park Jung-hoon took his first chance on the K League 1 stage. He didn't lose his smile because he was too happy.

Park Jung-hoon is a striker born in 2004. After growing up at Anyang Industrial High School under Anyang, he received a priority nomination before heading to Chung-Ang University. Then, he joined Anyang last year and made his professional debut. He was selected as a volunteer under the age of 22. He made his debut as a starter against the Ansan Greeners in April last year.

In the meantime, he did not receive many opportunities. Amid the promotion of his team, he played in only four games. Although he failed to score an offensive point, he is from Anyang and is one of the promising players in his team.

Anyang achieved impressive promotion last year. It was its first first stage in the first division since its foundation. Despite hardships, Anyang ranks eighth in the league with four wins and five losses (12 points). It is gradually adapting to the first division.
Park Jung-hoon made his much-anticipated debut in the first division. In the ninth round of Hana Bank's K League 1 2025 held at Anyang Stadium in his home stadium on the 19th, he won 3-1 against Suwon FC with consecutive goals by Yago, Mota and Matheus. He was disappointed by the 1-2 come-from-behind loss against the Pohang Steelers in the previous league, but quickly reversed the mood and seized a chance to rebound.

On the same day, Park Jung-hoon replaced Chae Hyun-woo in the 45th minute of the second half. The extra time in the second half was five minutes, and Park Jung-hoon attempted a reckless breakthrough on the right side at the same time as he was put in, showing his penetration into the side of Suwon FC. Although he was caught in an opponent's tackle and ended up inducing a foul, he also drew cheers from Anyang fans for a short time.

After the match, Park Jung-hoon, who met at the mixed zone (joint coverage area), expressed his impressions of making his debut in the first division league with a fresh face. "I've prepared a lot so far. I've always wanted to play a little bit more in the stadium. As the coach gave me a chance, I was able to play today's game. K League 1 debut match. I'm thrilled. I've been waiting for a long time. I kept smiling throughout the game," he said.
"The team was winning 3-1, so I wasn't pressured much. So I played with the intention of enjoying it," he confessed, adding, "I'm confident that I can break through dribbles. I'm continuing to practice so as not to lose to anyone."

Park Jung-hoon said, "I joined Anyang last year after finishing a year of university. It was a team that was always close to me, but I always felt far away. "After joining the team, I am learning a lot from the older brothers. I am working with the mindset that I will start over on the professional stage." 스포츠토토

In particular, Park said that he spends a lot of time communicating with his elder brothers who believe in the same religion. "I have a meeting with (Han) Garam and (Kim) Minho. I have a lot of conversations with them and connect them psychologically. I get a lot of help from them. I was able to adapt quickly to the team," Park said.
The most promising player in Anyang this season is Chae Hyun-woo, who is the same age as Park Jung-hoon. Veteran players, starting with coach Yoo Byung-hoon, all gathered together to expect Chae's performance. He made up his mind that he would play in the top division with boldness that is not like his young age, and he also scored the winning goal in the last match against Daegu FC, leading his team to victory.
